I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place, or if there's a forum on PH that's more appropriate, but I've searched for information for a long time and not found much

I want to go to Slverstone for FIA GT on the 5th-6th May, but I have no car, and I'm coming from Nottingham. Is there any way I can get there? I found some directions to cycle there from Northampton train station ( www.btccpages.com/circuits/silverstone.php ), but that won't be very convenient with a couple heavy bags on my back. I was wondering if there's a local bus that goes there, or something of the sort. Or if not, approximatley how much a taxi would cost from Northampton/Banbury station to Silverstone?

Any help would be appreciated

I`d say you`re defo in the right place. The Northants massive will try to help. Or at the very least I`ll waffle away on this thread!

I`d think there`s a fair chance one or more of us will be going to the above event?

There's not a direct train but you can do a few options.
The easiest is probably to go to Birmingham New Street and then to Northampton.

From there go out of the train station and turn left it's about 10-15 mins walk to the bus station

The no. 88 to Brackley goes to the White Horse in Silverstone village.
timetable here
IIRC its about a 20 min walk to the circuit.

Thanks a lot! That sounds perfect.
I'll probably invest in a map while I'm at it

Sorry, one more question!
I have found accomodation for a couple nights at '2 Hazelwood, Silverstone, NN12 8TX'. According to Google Maps, that's a few miles off White Horse. Is it possible to get any closer by bus at all?
