Hi,
looking for a guy that knows what he is doing in northants area for a knocking on a V6 grand vitara. Just had main service at dealers and they couldnt tell me what was wrong exept it was engine related...probabally not cam chain tensioner etc and usual suspects.
Apart from that... drive it, now its had engine flush, to see if it clears???? it hasnt!

any good garage to persue in northants area?
cheers

Why couldn't the Main Dealer tell you what was wrong with it?

Templetons in Rushden, they are old school mechanics, used to working on everything from Fiat Panda's to classic Ferrari's, not technicians who rely on plugging in a computer, fraid I can't find the phone number, but they will be listed.

good Luck.

dont know and went to a 2nd different suzuki dealer - same answer. strangely enough the knocking isnt prevelant when cold but develops when the engine gets warm. When i slightly touch the clutch pedal it dissapears / quietens down. The knocking also comes and goes and isnt constant.

the 2nd dealer admitted he hadnt got a clue and tried all usual things.. thinks 99% internal engine related. worn camshaft spigot, main bearing, etc etc etc.

cheers i will look that company up.
