I managed to get the Rover and Tiv out on the driveway together for the first time today so I took a couple of Photo's. Unfortunately the light wasn't brilliant.
Here's the best one.

At one point in the afternoon I had both cars idling on the driveway - 16 cylinders and 7.5 litres and it occurred to me how much it was costing per minute.

One cup of hot, sweet tea later and I was fine.

When we took the Monaro drifting the onboard computer read 1.2 miles per gallon at the end of the day.

Those are a fabulous pair of motors. Loving the old school Rover.

Thank you and Ouch for 1.2 MPG!

The downside is I have a Primera Diesel as a daily driver!

On a run I used to get 28mpg at 60mph from my P6 3500S

Around town I used to get 17mpg from my P6 3500S

Good photo - certainly give an idea of how low Tiv's are. Might be a bit of the old perspective playing tricks, but it looks like the top of the windscreen is about level with bonnet line on the Rover.

The driveway does slope up from Right to left so probably does exaggerate the height difference.

One day I'll park them side by side for an accuate comparison.

See you all at the Aviator a bit later?

Just over 160 miles with just under quarter tank left. (horrid vagues TVR guage but it sure weren't going up in fuel quantity)

Think my temp sensors need to be fixed!

Stef, that's not horrific if you're caning it all of the time. i seem to get about 250 joes from a tankful and I'm generally fairly gentle.

Can't cane her in her current appalling set up! I'd become a statistic.
