Depends on what you mean by modified. Subtle styling and performance mods, yes.

MAX POWER brigade, lets see who can get their Nova / Corsa / Knackered Astra looking the most Chav'y , most definetly not, we are a lot more mature now.

No to modified, it's just not my thing (I drive a mod-free scoob, how unusual is that?).

Welcome

same feeling as the post above, if its subtle mods, or performance mods then yes, max power stuff, not interested.

again as above, subtle or performance mods yes.

I've done the whole Max Power thing, and it got tiresome trying to be individual, which to me is what the whole 'modding' scene should be about, even had a pair of lexus style clusters made to fit my old corsa at a silly cost before anyone was selling aftermarket conversions, Now you can pick them up on ebay for £19.99. The whole 'modding' scene has got silly, if i wanted to have a car look like everyone elses in a carpark on a friday evening, i'd leave my car standard and park it in a 24hr supermarket car park.

I totally modded my Tango mr2 mk1 (and yes I was slated on barryboys LOL), but it depends on what mods really. love or hate it, but its nice to be individual.

now i prefer the idea of performance mods over exterior mods. - the fun you can have with a 'sleeper' etc.
standard is just boring, unless you are lucky enough to have an awesome performance car to start with

yes i do go to loads of shows: modded & Jap car shows
you meet really nice people, if you filter out the chavs

The chav to human ratio at places like Maxpower live and japfest just isn't good enough for me to even bother.

HKS had a stand at the autosport show and we had a Evo piston stolen off the stand, we were only there for the trade days, chavs trophy hunters managed to blag there way in.

I may be guilty of the exhaust mod, you decide. In my defence the car was purchased with it on, its purely to extract more power, and its the only thing on the car I dont like, well apart from the white wheels.

I'm into RETRO mods - My Mk2 cavalier C Reg SRi already has an early Grill, the light wipers are going, the original orange indicators went and came back, the wheels are being refurbed (it's got some Mk3 Cav fan tails which look wrong) and the rear numberplate panel is going. Only mods are Mk3 Cav Sri Brakes (More Progressive) and a peco big bore back box (which I bought off ebay for buttons and looks a bit daft), and the red stripe is going black.

Planning on Opel Ascona Badges when I can source some opel centre caps. Keep looking on german ebay!!

What I really want is a standard looking mk2 cavalier estate with a nice throttle bodied XE and say 190 BHP.

yup - this is getting to be a real PITA
I won't go anywhere near max power - just like the Jap shows mostly.
the human ratio is 'slightly better'

I am very guilty of over modding mine tho', but the NOS purges took it over the top LOL
as long as you don't take it seriously and can laugh at your over modding, its okay:

I do prefer the perfomance and handling mods on our other cars, primarily for track use/abuse.
