An incentive to clean your car.....

Miserable fekkers!
I have noticed quite a few cars with obviously wiped back plates. Wondered why, maybe our incredibly useful crimefighters are focusing all their energies on trying to persicute the good driver even more this year.
Don't worry, pikeys throwing stuff at passing cars and generally causing the good citizen unnecessary stress in the local area is all ok. We know it's them, we know where they are we know our BIB will do bollox all about it... :soap:

While we're on the subject of reg plates, its about time they clamped down on people adjusting their plates so they say something different, there was one posted on the good reg plates thread where the reg was altered so much you couldn't tell what the real plate was.

Fair point Matt, but......
Number of times I`ve been pranged and not got the number - 0
Number of times I`ve had grief from gyppos and plod`s done nothing - at least 10. To the cost of £2000.

The number plate campaign is about one thing and one thing only... ANPR hits. The BIB just lurve their new automatic plate readers as they hugely increase clear-ups and intelligence for things like where known felons are travelling and when. The name of the game is Key Performance Indicators inposed by central govt and, guess what, rural low level ASB associated with travellers (or whoever... are you sure it was pikeys? Evidence?) is not a priority. Urban robberies, house breaks, violent crime, and drugs is. 'Cos that's where the votes are.
To be fair to the BIB, they have bugger all discretion on this and if you knew how few plod had to cover pretty vast acreages of rural Northants (and the unrealistsic response times they are supposed to achieve), your hair would curl. Stir in a comms system that doesn't and civvie grading/allocation operatives who are frankly clueless about anything off their immediate patch (ie Northampton, where the call centre is) and it's looking like you're lucky to get any response at all to anything less than a full-on riot or murder in progress. TBH, the average PC is as frustrated as anyone about this but powerless to do anything except what the system dictates. No wonder they're leaving in droves, when less trained PCSOs attract higher salaries and are spared the late nights and paperwork.
And while I'm on me soap-box, why is it down to the police to 'do something'? What assistance have you given... have you identified the perp? Made a statement? Will you attend court if needed? You'd be surprised how few do...

Especially Golf's.. Seemingly the shape of the car ensures that all of the crap off the road is deposited on the boot lid....

WTF? It's down to the police to do something because that's what we pay for, isn't it? It's not my job to identify "perps". Would you like me to arrest him for them and and do the prosecution case, too?

I have noticed that too, Golfs of all ages seem to have much dirtier bums than other cars for some reason. I got followed by Plod over Christmas and thought I was going to get pulled as the back of the 9-5 looked like a slag heap. 4 new 225's and salty roads make for some serious muck - note to self, clean the plate as well as lights!

Tony Martin. A God amongst men.
A man who lies in wait with an unlawfully held shotgun, who then shoots a retreating intruder who poses no threat in the back? I think the correct phrase is murderer
Pup you are of course joking?
A man who has been robbed several times shoot thieving scum on his own property.
Such a shame he didn't get the other shit.
This was the greatest farce i have ever seen.

I know of a 'brown' lotus (so much dirt on it) right now that has an obscured plate.
All I managed to get the owner to do was clear the lights so people could see he was braking etc.
Some people are naughty.
