Well, last night I used a Fiesta to stop my 156!!!!

Not too much damage, fortunately just the front bumper and headlamp. As for the Fiesta I think it's a write off, I was only doing about 15 mph.

The first accident I've had for more than 11 years.

Whoopsie!!

So come on, give us the details. How did you manage to write a Fiesta off at 15mph?

If it was an older Fiesta the rust holding the paint together would have just given way....hehe

Sorry to hear about the accident though, never nice around this time of year...

Bingo!

It was an L-reg proberly worth 500 quid on a good day and with 300 quids worth of damage the insurance company ain't going to bother.

Had my first written estimate from Kettering Autospray today.

£872 to replace the front bumper and OS Headlamp, seems a lot of many for what was a very minor accident. That said I've not taken a car to a bodyshop for a very, very long time so I'm proberbly out of touch with the cost of repairs.

Blimey thats fairly steep. Mind you as soon as a garage see the magic words 'insurance job' the prices go up!

I suspect Alfa prices are fairly steep anyways for body parts...

The quote included £445 of parts.

Bumper
Number plate plynth
Number Plate
Bumper Inserts inc. Headlamp washer
Headlamp unit

I'm going to get a couple of other quotes before making a decision where the car goes, although my prefered place is Proline in Earls Barton.
