hehe

A juvenile Shag has taken up residence on the lake in Abington park. Very scarce anywhere inland. If you`re reading this Tony, a good start for next years list? (If it hangs around.)

Sorry guys, I couldn`t resist.

There`s some pics in "birdingnorthants" on Yahoo!groups.

What`s the parking like round there, Mrs BC ?

Loads of parking. Best bet is Abington Park Crescent. There are two lakes, one right next to Abington Park Crescent, near the junction with Bridgewater Drive, and the other towards the middle of the park (follow the path from the first lake).

And the park cafe does a great cup of coffee too (in case you get a bit chilly)

I was wondering if Mark Elvin and his bird had moved up North and were advertising...

According to my sources the bird is still present.
