Friend selling his Classic - A mistake? - Should I intervene
Discussion
I have just learned that a good friend of mine is selling his Rover P5b that he has had and cherished for the last 12 years. A really nice example that I would love to own - possible over and above my own.
Anyway, I called him to find out why and it doesn't seem that he knows himself other than he heasn't had chance to use it over the last year or so. His Father-in Law died last year and his focus has been on his wife and Mother-in Law and taking them around at weekends but his M-I-L doesn't like getting in and out of the Rover.
He went through the 'I'm going to sell it' phase a couple of years ago and I persuaded him to use it more, which he did and decided to keep it. But, that has slipped and last year he only did circa 500 miles in it.
I just know that he is going to regret selling it but am relucatant to try & talk him out of it as I feel it's his life.
Advice?
