Thought I`d run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it. My 1st thought is Brampton Halt.

Is there anywhere in Wellingborough ? (Easy access from MK, Northampton and Ketrin)

Or Market Harborough ? May attract some of the Leicester lads....

I think a fortnightly meet for local PHers would be a good tyre-kicking/run-out opportunity... and might even attract some wimmin

Sunday is a good idea from the point of view of actually getting the opportunity to see fellow PH'ers cars. Night time meets in the darm mean we just end up sitting in a pub chatting.

More opportunity for a blat if the weather's good as well which would be unlikely in the dark.

Different locations is also good if peeps will make the effort to travel a few miles which they're more likely to do in daylight.

There is a Saturday Classic car gathering trying to get off the ground in Lubenham. I think the first one is this week so I may have a look and see how popular it is.

Sunday lunchtime would be better for me to attend more regularly - slave driver of a boss hasn't got me working sundays yet.

Also by meeting in the middle of the day means there is less likely to ice about on the roads driving home, which could get a problem late in the evenings for the Cerb I guess.

Edited to add - I can't make this Sunday though

I can't do this Sunday.

Have decided to make the most of the nice weather and go for a drive in the Cotswolds and visit the quaint villages.

You can still suggest a venue.

food is good at the swan at Lamport, bit pricey though. Think we're booked up for every weekend now until December maybe once a month would be better than every other week, chances are you'll get more people that way.

How about a Northampton (area) monthly meet, and an MK (area) monthly meet. But alternate between the two on a fortnightly basis.
Does that make sense ?
already is a mk (ish) meet, although in the evening the LB meets, but sometimes they're once a month other times they're not, just depends on what the organiser is doing. Do the Beds/herts/bucks forum already have a meet?
Its just my opinion but I do think that if you have one every 2 weeks, they will just die off, once a month gives people something to look forward to. Its the reason that the Northants runs aren't every month, turn out would be much smaller if they were once a month IMHO.

Us Kretterins seem to like to feel loved and a part of something.

A monthly wider area meet would be good but a more localised regular gathering should fullfill the need to belong.

However, wider area meets may help to add variety to the gene pool

Shhh, the other sort. I don't shoot poor defenceless clay pigeons :-)

There is a range at Sywell!
