Audi A4 Heater fan not working.
Discussion
Grrr.
Trying to locate the relay or control unit for the fan but no joy. Anyone?
The heater functions all appear to be working according to the display but the fan motor isn't kicking in. Any ideas?
Someone mentioned this is a common problem but after many hours searching the 'net I can't find any mention of it.
Edited to add - there is an Audi/VW fforum & I have posted there too but no "Electrical" section!

Quick update in case anyone cares!
Went along to local ex VW/Audi delare today and peeps in front of me at service desk were being quoted for a new heater motor at £280 + £80 fitting plus vat!
Had a chat with the service guy - Not terribly helpful - more interested in me booking it in for them to "have a look".
Came home - removed half of the dash and tested the motor in situ - no movement so Hailed it out and stripped it down - Bottom line is the Commutator is badly worn.
I managed to get it going and couldn't get a motor today so stuck it all back together.
I've ordered a motor off E-bay - £79.99 + P&P brand new!
I reckon I can install the new one in under an hour - Bloody dealers!
