After a disappointing visit to the Parkhouse last night, I`ve gotta find somewhere a tad more upmarket. Kettering, or preferably, surrounding villages. Gary, what`s the food like in the "Snoot"?

Snoots is great food but can be a touch pricey... The Pepys at Slipton is good usually, or there's a new place in Thrapston called 'Sextons' that's trying to make a name for itself (old Southams auction room...the Corn Exchange). Always had decent meals at the Overstone Arms in Pytchley, and meant to try the one at Orlingbury too but never made it.

yep there too, out of the choice of BH or the Swan, I'd chose the latter. www.realpubpeople.co.uk/swan/pub.asp fish and fat chips are to die for

The Italian in Burton...?

The Falcon at Fotheringhay

Any of the Wansford pubs/hotels

White Swan at Harringworth

Bribe your parent to go out and cook for her... nothing compares for earning 'take one' tokens!

Do you mean Palmichael's? 'Cause that's a good one.

Also if you like Indian food The Raj in Kettering is probably the best Indian in the country!

Hmm Mazza near the cinema gives it competition.

Must admit I'm getting bored of the Raj (despite recieving a good discount there rolleyes ) and find the menu uninspiring now. Also guaranteed to meet someone in there you know! - We'll be watching you Skinner

Somehow I don't think you'll be watching him in the Raj or any other Indian

And for those citing their favourite curry houses, I'll raise you a Thrapston Tandoori. Unique location, a touch bijou, but great food. Afraid I'm not a Raj fan.

Heh. In my days of living in Thrapston I had my fair share of indian from the Tandoori and Balti!

Which one was by the PO? They always looked after me well! Traditional flock wallpaper and bring your own bottle style Indian!
