Just been reminded that the local steam enthusiasts fair is in in little Bowden (just down the road from my place) today and tomorrow.

Entrance is free and there are steam engines and other intersting bits and pieces of engineering (One for Justin?). Tea & cakes etc.

I'm about to have a wander down there and might take some pics & post later.

Tractor alert! What was the red one with 2 front wheels close together? The lorry looks like a Scammell...

Erm, a tractor! Can't remember to be honest Mark - they all look alike to me

TBH I didn't think an Ex farmer would be interested in Tractors! Either that or no longer interested so an Extractor fan! Sorry, I'll get me coat!

No ID on the lorry I'm afraid or at least I don't remember seeing any.

Its only a small place but open again tomorrow so if you're not doing anything special pop in.

Admission is FREE - they have a donation box but no pressure at all. I threw a quid in for each of us that wandered down and had a 50p cup of tea and some homemade cake.

So where in Lt Bowden was this TT? Went over this avvie but couldn't find it (despite asking some locals) so ended up sinking a shandy in Uppingham at Don Paddy's (tough gig) after harassing a VFR850 along the B664

Twas just off the old Ketteriomg road. Glebe Road to be precise.

You should have given me a call as it is literally a couple of hundred yards from my house.

I was out cleaning the car this afternoon (gluing it back together and trying to get rid of the scratches on the boot) and I thought I heard a pupp like noise go past the back of my house about 2.30 to 3.00ish?

Anyway, sorry you missed it.

Think that would have been the time but no worries, was just an excuse to get out and no harm done
