Right, I have checked the diary and spoken to SWMBO.

Sunday is the Annual Regional Rally of the West Midlands region of the Rover P5 club which is being held at Broughton Castle near Banbury (www.broughtoncastle.com/) which I intend to go along to in the P5 for a few hours.

SWMBO has agreed to prepare for the BBQ chez moi provided its late PM.

The P5 event is piggybacking the Jaguar Drivers Club event so there should be some great shiny metal to look at, quite apart from the great location.

So, if you fancy a hoon over there in your own car, or, for the first 3 lucky applicants, to be chauffeur driven by me in Benson (my P5B) to the event and then all back to MH for a BBQ (around 5pm) then let me know. I MIGHT even be persuaded to take you home afterwards so you can

Anyone wishing to just come along to the BBQ is welcome, or you could organise a separate hoon (a la Gary) and end up in MH for the BBQ circa 5pm

The BBQ will be subject to the weather holding up.

Communal Top Gear viewing will be permitted if required

Health warning: All food that is BBQ’d will be cooked on a GAS barbeque!

The management Reserves the right to refuse admission etc!

P.S Tyre Tread I will mention Broughton to my parents, they live about 2 miles from Banbury. And have a Noble, it would be a good reason for them to get it out n about.

Hi Gary. I'm sure you'd be welcome. I'll be there in my P5B Coupe - pictures on www.p5parts.co.uk/gallery/Scotland%20May%202004/

I see from your profile that you're going to the GP Masters as well - me too! Really looking forward to it.

Drop me an e-mail and we'll swap numbers so we can catch up with each other.

Right, back to the origins of this thread (althought it's nice to see a Noble's oily bits).

I have spoken to the P5 organiser and they have 11 cars (P5's) booked in, including the camper conversion and the Jaguar Drivers club are there as well as the Rover SD1 club and the sealed knot society (battle reneactmentt i think)

Anyway, all are welcome, TVR's, Noble's and any others that simply want to turn up fro a great day out.

This is also last call for 2 places in my P5 departing Market Harborough around 10.45 into Broughton about 11.00am for 1 pickup already booked and then proceeding to www.broughtoncastle.com/. which is described as "About the most beautiful castle in all England ... for sheer loveliness of the combination of water, woods and picturesque buildings.”

Peter, this is an opportunity for a nice day out in a refined motor and to earn some brownie points from your lovely lady!

BBQ will go ahead around 5pm in MH - All the usual crowd are welcome and food will be provided - Bring your own drinkies.

PM me for directions (dead easy as just off A6 MH bypass)
