The Red Lion Finmere, Bucks
The Carrington Arms Moulsoe, Beds (good but expensive) +B&B
Fox and hounds - Riseley Bedfordshire- good food
Bombay place - Kingsthorpe, northants- indian takeaway
Grove Lock, Leighton Buzzard, Beds- good food
Gianbiaz - good small italian on the welly road, nrthants
casablance - tapas bar also on welly road, northants
Sorrentinos- italian restaurant opposite sol cental northampton
Sultan Kebabs (aka 'Dirty Dick's)... Montagu St, Kettering (opposite Central) Chicken K to die for (literally, some nights)
Snooty Fox... Lowick ('The Snoots'. Most expensive chips in the UK. Decent nosh but gird your flexible friend's loins in readiness for the William
Paddy something or other's... Uppingham town square. Good little bisto bar. Great value/location. One vist only but impressed.
Prince of Wales, Kettering TC.... sh1thole but great choons/sights/atmosphere
Thrapston Tandoori... on the garage forecourt just over Nine Arches Bridge from Islip. Intimate Ruby? Just the ticket...
Old Red Lion, Welham, Mkt Harboro. 48oz steaks. I didn`t believe it, but it`s true. And cheap.
Thornhill arms, Rushton
Flames on York road, northampton - awesome Kebabs, I think, normally been very durnk when eating there

The horse and trumpet Medbourne, award winning AA rosette food. Expensive, but well worth it for that extra special occasion.
the George at Great Oxenden but food was always v good on previous visits

The pub at Glooston does good food (can't remember the name at the mo though)
Narrow Boat Inn on the A5 near Weedon.

The Queens Head Hotel in Nassington. Good service surroundings and food. Nice run for your p&j's

you should try the fox and hounds in Risley Mark, they'll do what ever size steak you want, think the record is 80oz or something stupid like thatIts very goos, they have their own butchers table, you pick what cut you want and how big, then they cook in on an open grill in the resurant

The Red Lion at Welham may be cheap but there's a reason for that - You have been warned - had some bad experiences there and now most definitely off our list. Friend's daughter worked there for a couple of weeks........
For Indiam you CANNOT beat Little India in Arnesby (Leics) - yes I know its a bit out of the area but . And they will happily accomodate non Indian food lovers in the party. Lovely staff and although the service can be slow it just heightens the anticipation. It's a good run from Northampton too if you take the back roads.

Racehorse Country Inn in Catworth. exelent food, good real ale, a pool table, big safe carpark to park your desirables and if you have a few too many they have a b&b with 5 rooms i think. all in all a top place! well recomened.
