Got the car back yesterday afternoon from Guglielmi's in Daventry after having had the steering rack rebuilt, steering column UJ's greased and ride height adjusted after springs had settled from initial fitting.
They also recommended and fitted a new throttle linkage that now gives an INSTANT response to depressing right foot!!
I watched the guys reset the amount of "toe in" at the front (whatever that is ). It took 3 test drives followed by more tweaking until they were happy with the results.
Thoroughly recommend Guglielmi's to anyone - the attention to detail was very impressive (and noticeably different to the previous well regarded TVR specialist I used) - maybe this is because of their involvement in motorsport.....?
Net result is a "new" car that accelerates & handles better than ever

Can't remember the name of the place, its a landrover specialist in Houghton Regis (sp), did a great job sorting Oggs' car out. Sure he'll be along soon to tell you who it is
Indeed - its called Autoland - very good for all Rover V8 stuff

These guys are indeed excellent!! Now - they're a proper resource...
In the same zone - two sister companies, who used to share premises, but now have dedicated.
Autocraft (Gavin - top bloke)- I understand do 'normal'(non-4x4) cars, and MOT's, etc. Have even seen a Ferrari in there which all I can divulge belonged to a famous Arab prince - and the number plate would lead to this conclusion too. Details as above. We use Autocraft for our Honda Jazz - and Gavin has properly stepped up to the plate for us in emergencies (once EGR valve got stuck open), accommodating us on a Saturday at virtually no notice - and then took proper time over it.
Autoland 4x4 (Andy, Bill, et al - top blokes again! 01582 866 680) are the Landrover specialists. And even better - if they come up against specialist transmission work, work with Ashcroft Transmissions - who even keep their own courtesy car there for Ashcroft customers while work is being done on their gearbox, or whatever. So there's nowhere better to take your Landrover, as far as I'm concerned!
When I bought a Landrover, my eyes were wide open to the fact that one will have problems - and it's only becuase of trustworthy, 'old-school' (in terms of knowledge and experience - not equipment!) places like this, that I have the confidence to own and drive one.
Both Autoland and Autocraft are the sort of place you could confidently let the Mrs take the car to on her own - and be certain that she won't be ripped off, or that they will try it on, in terms of unnecessary work, etc.
Both our cars were bought brand new with full warranties - and neither have ever even smelt a main dealer for servicing. Warranties are maintained at these places (by using genuine branded ('OEM') parts). They couldn't be in better hands.
Use them with confidence!!

I agree, just had a 12,000 mile service on my Chim with Guglielmi.
Big shout to Prestige Performance Cars (PPC TVR) in Melton Mowbray. They have sorted my Cerbera out fantastically following its recent suspension woes and with the de-cat pipes now on it sounds fantastic.
Bit of a trek I realise for many of you, but Paul & Mick's knowledge is worth a bit a of drive - plus superb roads around Melton/Oakham for a blip afterwards on the way home.
Plus Paul makes a cracking cup of tea....
