Hi all,

Thanks to everyone that came along yesterday. Here are some pic's.....
Apology 1 - for the number of weird wide angle shots but I've only just got the lens - I don't think the tracking is THAT badly aligned on mr maggit's Grinnall
Apology 2 - for the number of pic's of the "red one", but Martin did give me a lift home

See you all again soon hopefully,
Longers

Nice pics, Ian. Like the "arty" close-ups, but the last one is the best. IMHO.

The pic of the parade going through the town, the car in front, is the driver holding a teddy bear?

Alan's passenger let him down, so he brought some furry company

Indeed, Charlie ducked out as the last minute as SHE had something come up (I didn't ask!) but Rhoderick was reasonable company and spent most of the parade waving at the kids. Strangely though it was mostly the ladies that waved back. Hmm. Perhaps a tactic for Mark to try?

I still ended up with a young blonde in the passenger seat by the end of the day though!

Must try it! Nice pics, Gary. Never noticed the sticker on the back of the scorpion...

30 deg in a Tiv in a 5mph procesion for half an hour - not the right weather for that but overall it was good fun.

The peeps that won the raffle and we took for a run afterwards were all grinning their heads off. It was great to see that.

Longers,

To you it's Mister maggit!

A good day had by all, I think. I'd be up for it again next year.

Great day on Sunday, lovely weather and good company.

Drive out with the winning ticket holders was good fun, they really enjoyed themselves.

Love the photos, nice to have some 'arty' ones of the 355, thanks Longers and hope you've got your car back OK.

Off to Goodwood on Friday, so better get cleaning, on second thoughts we've just had hail and thunder, so it could be a trip out in the 'family bus'. Oh well!

Firstly as a newly registered member (thanks Longers for the link)can I thank all those who particiapted on Sunday. I thought the day went well.

We got about 14 cars involved in total ranging from 4 jags (2 old and 2 new), an old rolls royce, jeep, Ford GT, Tiger super 6 and the rest as highlighted in the pics. (No pic of the GT Ian??)

The eventwas a bit fraught for me as I somehow turned into an organiser!! Therefore aplogies for not mingling as much as i would have liked.

Thanks Ian for driving the Cerb; no overheating thank God, but did you burn down the high street like some of 'em?

It was a pleasure to see the disabled member of Sailability (Dingys etc) to have a ride with Martin; the local paper was very interested in picking up that story but I could not remember his surname.

We raised £120 in all for a charity called Unique (rare chromosome abnormalities)and they will be very grateful as they are a very small registered group that offers support to families having to deal with all sorts of problems that definately makes you put your own life in perspective.

Thanks again and finally, having that ride with a teddy bear was something that I will not repeat, although the water from the fridge (!) was much appreciated and needed!

thanks again

Ahem, I'll have you know that Rhoderick is quite offended as he seemed a big hit with the ladies and younger generation and they all and . Or perhaps it was the standard of ?

I like to add a little wherever possible!

Edited to add: Really enjoyed it - let us know the date for next year as soon as you know it.
