26th May Northants 1st pub crawl
Discussion
After several pints of the black stuff on Friday night in the 'Drome, we decided that the next night out would be a pub crawl, including a possible round of golf down the welly road into town
So, Friday 26th, starting in the Abington Park Hotel at 8
anyone interested?
Details have been ammended, see my post on page 3.
now 8pm and the Drome

See the thing with a pub crawl is, we waste valuble drinking time when we walk...
you need one of those hats that's got 2 beer cans on it so you can drink and walk at the same time
You mean you haven't bought her one yet?
not yet, have found one on here though. Quite impressed with the beer belt too www.drinkstuff.com/products/product.asp?ID=3
Not that I do this very often
But I have heard that the Crown and Cushion is a better place to start to avoid the 675 metre gap between the Abington and the above establishment.
Then (so I have heard) there are 9 well placed "holes" on the run into town
Perhaps the Abington could be the driving range for a few practice shots ?

Owen was saying on Friday, that there is a pub opposite the Memsaab, which cuts out the long drag from the APH to the crown.
like the idea of using the APH as a driving range first to get your eye in for the next nine holes

Yes it's next door.... Corkers i'm told it's called
I also hear they don't sell pints Could be a par 3 hole I suppose??
Although (I hear from a third party or someone) they do sell "Slippery Nipples"

Yep I think thats the one.
Might be an easy start with a par 3 'short' hole then onto the more demanding par 4 and 5's
Can you make this one then?
