V8 tuning (Holley carb) in Northants
Discussion
Chaps- I'm after ideas/suggestions as to where to go for a tuning job. I've got a rover 3.5v8 that has an aftermarket Holley carb, it's definitely running rich but it's out of my league to start messing around with the carb.
Considered Northampton Motorsport but at this time I'd like options as being told it would take an hour to position the car before work begins at £90 an hour has made me look at other possibilities before I go down that route.
Happy to pay anyone sensible rate to have a look.
Car is near market Harborough.

Friend had his Westfield finely tuned here: http://www.lynxae.co.uk/ and rated them highly.
Not used them myself, but http://www.knightracingservices.co.uk in Daventry might be worth a call - they often have interesting V8s about.
Thanks for replies. I'm getting 'run on' when the engine stops so either pre- ignition or detonation. As the engine is only just up and running and the cooling system is bespoke I'm trying to solve a problem that could be unique to this setup, so carb tuning is the first thing then go from there.
Cheers again.
Cheers again.
I'd give these guys a call http://www.thevillagegarage.co.uk/home
They work on everything from Vintage Bentleys to MG's and everything in between. They look after quite a few classic Mustangs so familiar with the Holley carb.
They are currently fettling my (genuine) TR8.
