Looking for my next house and there's a place I'm interested in in Woodgate Road, Wootton Fields. Looking on Google street view, there's evidence of graffiti (which has been jet-washed off) on a perimeter wall of the house, which obviously isn't a good initial sign!

What's Wootton Fields like for crime and antisocial behaviour generally? Looking for comments from people that either live there, have lived there or know people that live there (rather than people going on online crime stats, etc, which I've already looked at).

Thanks!

Iv lived here for around 6 years now, moved from east hunsbury and prefer it here. Touch wood we have had no bother, the people I brought my house off actually moved to wood gate road.
It gets very Christmassy down there from what I remember.
One of the nicer areas of Northampton to live.

Until a year ago I lived in Wootton Fields, having moved there from Grange Park (am now in Wootton Village and much prefer it). I personally didn't like Wootton Fields, but that was more about the location than anything else because we were overlooking Wootton Hope Drive (the main road through it), and the silly exhaust brigade used to drive me absolutely nuts seeing how fast they could go down there at all hours. Plus all the pissed teenagers that tend to congregate outside the Co-op shouting around in the street all through the night (especially in Summer). Looked out of my window once to see one of them jump on the bonnet of my car mad.

Same issues as every other estate I suppose so depends whereabouts you would be, I'm sure there are quiet parts...
