Hi guys, looking at getting the red dragons wheels refurbished, looking for a tip top job, tyre off, tyre back on, sandblasted etc, anywhere in and around the northants area that come highly recommended??

Cheers in advance

For a proper job there is only one choice http://www.exelwheels.co.uk

I believe they use http://www.lepsons.com for the actual repair but will come to you and give you a loan set of wheels. I had the split rims done on my 996 and the finish is great. Not the cheapest but definitely the best.

The above is from Google, but there's a mobile bloke round the corner from me who has been highly recommended. When I walk the dog later I should see his van - I'll get the details and post them then.

Heard good things about http://www.paintwrx.com/ in Daventry, but also http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ in MK.

Not used either though, but interested in the thread as have a set to have some much needed TLC!

ETA - just seen how old this thread is. Any update from the OP?

Sorry for the lack of update on this, to be honest the wheels have only just been done.

I took them down to wheel clinic in Northampton, who I have to say have done a top job, they put my new Toyo ProxeT1rs on all for a very good price,
will update with pics when I get chance

That looks stunning!
Are they rare in red?
I'm a bit biased towards fast red estate cars biggrin

ohhh that BMW is tasty, to be honest they are rare full stop, T5R's and the R's are rare as rocking horse muck tbh, good ones even harder to find, especially ones that are unmolested and have decent history with them, thankfully ours is still factory and as Volvo intended!!!

I loved them and wanted one for ages, but didn't want a FWD.
I remember there used to be a yellow saloon one around Thrapston when they first came out, it looked awesome and made me want one big time!

I'm going to the Dove House meet, so might have to try to get the red estates parked up next to each other biggrin

Took my 8 month old 3 series company car to that well known tyre place that rhymes with Quick Wit in Banbury for a pair of rear boots, unfortunately I now need both wheels re-furbing as a result.

Thankfully without fuss they have agreed to pick up the bill but I need to find someone local to Banbury or a mobile wheel man who can turn around the job quickly as I can't be without my car.

Anyone recommend a mobile wheel repairer in the Banbury/Brackley area?
