Anyone know of someone decent who can fit my exhaust I've just purchased for my Clio 182 ?

No idea on who is any good in this area frown

I was going to get Kettering motorist center to do it but I've heard they are a bit...basic :P

sorry I can't help but I'd have thought many would be reluctant to install a part or component like an exhaust system bought from elsewhere as the fit of exhaust system can vary in quality especially if it's a non-standard system - if the fit is poor whose fault is it the manufacturer or the installer or a bit of both, plus the install could take longer and/or need further adjusting after use

I might be being too pessimistic as usual but do bear this in mind

Yeah I know exactly where you are coming from. I had the same problem with tyres I got from camskill hehe

On second thought I'll give it a go with my dad and see what happens lol.

Not the 1st garage name that would spring to mind, but I had no problem getting a HiQ garage fitting a H&S exhaust to my M5... granted, it helped that the manager was on his week off and the guy in charge liked the idea of some notes in his hand... wink

Haha same, I asked if he had an angle grinder just in-case we needed it, he replied "Of course son! but the last time I used it, I set fire to my t-shirt!" eek

in that case you need time, patience and a penetrating/releasing fluid such as PlusGas (ordinary WD40 is not as good), the first is usually in short supply, the second is soon used up and becomes in short supply, the third is in the shops or your Dad's garage but check as you may have used it up last time along with his personal stock of the first two

apply the penetrating/releasing fluid as far in advance as possible, night before or at least a mug of tea (and biccies unless your dad's been put on an unwanted diet but you can still have some) then try to slightly tighten before undoing to crack the crud/rust seal

also check your dad has some anti-seize in stock like Copper Ease to make the job easier next time and that he has all the correct tools and exhaust fittings - don't let him frustrate the job by not being fully prepared, he must pull his finger out, I hope he doesn't let you down mad
