Just one month to go before I will be moving to your neck of the wood bounce

But it also means I have to commute a lot longer to work from then on weeping So I need to find myself a reliable diesel hack to get me (boringly) from A to B and back again, 40 miles each way. Anyone local know of a good one? Can't be too picky with my budget of £2K, but I can't have a big engine, as I've got no NCB to bring to the deal. Low insurance, low tax... just what the rest of the world seems to want wink

wavey We've bought a house on the Soleil Mews development in Upton. Now is not a good time to tell us that used to be a nuclear waste site wink

not a nuclear waste site but definitely a radon area. didn't put me of though as i also live on the old part of the Upton development, and haven't developed any extra limbs after 15 years here

yikes

Now I start to worry wether I checked the 'radon search' box on the solictors instruction forms... judge

We're completely unknown to the area, as we originally didn't even consider moving away from Aylesbury, but as we found nothing available here, we expanded our search towards Milton Keynes, and then a house popped up in Upton, which we fell in love with.

I'll look out for your M5 then. My P&J is being tucked up for the winter after a last run out this Sunday.

Most of Northants is a radon area.

Welcome to Northants. I live up the road from you in Duston. I used to live on the 'old' Upton site on Brunel Drive.

Cheers for the welcome beer

We ventured through Duston at the weekend as we needed to see how far the primary/secondary schools were. Was a lot bigger than I thought, with lots of new houses too. Is the Sainsbury's always that busy on Saturday? Looked like an IKEA on a bank holiday eek

And thanks for the re-assurance on the radon 'issue'... I currently live (almost) underneath an electricity pylon, and I still don't glow in the dark, so I'm not really worried wink

It can be. Especially that it's had a massive refurbishment. Another factor maybe is that it's now closed from 20th to 28th Nov.

Sainsburys is always hell but hopefully the road improvements in line with teh store improvements will help things... It's when you have football and rugby on at the same time, then it gets interesting hehe

and the car boot traffic from the underclass parking in Upton because they can't afford the £1 parking! It's not that bad further into the estate as to far for them to walk.

Welcome to the county.

Another thank you for the welcome. Since you lot didn't manage to find me a tidy diesel I found one myself... Picked up an '04 Fabia vRS in deepest, darkest and flooded Wales for £2K today and drove it home. That'll do me nicely wink
