Just one month to go before I will be moving to your neck of the wood
But it also means I have to commute a lot longer to work from then on So I need to find myself a reliable diesel hack to get me (boringly) from A to B and back again, 40 miles each way. Anyone local know of a good one? Can't be too picky with my budget of £2K, but I can't have a big engine, as I've got no NCB to bring to the deal. Low insurance, low tax... just what the rest of the world seems to want

not a nuclear waste site but definitely a radon area. didn't put me of though as i also live on the old part of the Upton development, and haven't developed any extra limbs after 15 years here
Now I start to worry wether I checked the 'radon search' box on the solictors instruction forms...
We're completely unknown to the area, as we originally didn't even consider moving away from Aylesbury, but as we found nothing available here, we expanded our search towards Milton Keynes, and then a house popped up in Upton, which we fell in love with.
Cheers for the welcome
We ventured through Duston at the weekend as we needed to see how far the primary/secondary schools were. Was a lot bigger than I thought, with lots of new houses too. Is the Sainsbury's always that busy on Saturday? Looked like an IKEA on a bank holiday
And thanks for the re-assurance on the radon 'issue'... I currently live (almost) underneath an electricity pylon, and I still don't glow in the dark, so I'm not really worried
