I would really like to take some photographs of my (blue) car against the (yellow) background of a field of rape seed.

Why? Because I just would, OK?

Does any local PHer know of a suitable field that I could drive into - obviously without causing any harm to the crop. Oh, or the car.

I spotted a potential site just off the Bedford road near the Castle Ashby gates, but I don't want to upset Farmer Giles and get told to "Get orf moy laaaaand!"

So, anyone?

Had the same idea myself but never got round to it.

Try the wide grass verge between Harrowden and Little Harrowden. Hurry up though, the flowering has almost ended.

Maybe not quite what you had in mind, but I think this was taken near Wappenham last April. Not sure if it was possible to get any closer...

If you go up to Althorpe there's a nice quiet lane with a rape field without a fence around it.

The one right in the centre here

Just looking out the window on the train heading to London it's worth pointing out you are going to have to get your skates on if you want the field to be yellow. It's nearly harvest season so the rape fields are turning green very quickly now.

Almost any roadside verge in Leceistershire as they are becoming full of rape seed plants leeching from the fields.

Not something I noticed until last year but there is definitely more this year.

How long befoe this becomes a real problem?
