there has been some discussion about this on other PH threads some time back but I knew nothing about it so I thought I'd post it (here as well, hope that's ok with Mods) as many might not know

Stolen 'Blue' V5C "Log books"

(see scan below of leaflet that arrived with my new 'Red' V5C "lob book")

the 'Blue' is being replaced with the 'Red' because:-

'following the theft of a number of blank blue V5Cs. The aim is to reduce the risks to motorists of buying a stolen or cloned vehicle.'

' . . . there is no need to contact us. We will issue a new red V5C for all vehicles by November 2012'
