Mods - this is not and ad and I have no connection - just thought locals might be interested.

I went past the new independent car dealership opposite Tesco off J9 A14 today and called in as I was sniffing after a replacement car.

Although they don't officially open until tomorrow (Tuesday) they welcomed me and I spent a good hour and a half talking to the owner and his son and they told me some of their plans for the place including making it a meeting place for petrol heads like us.

There is some lovely stuff in there including 2 lovely E-Types, A lovely original Elan, a classic Mini copper with 2K miles on the clock and lots more.

If you are passing pop in and say you heard about the place on PH and I'm sure they will make you a lovely coffee!

A great place to spend a few hours looking at classic and modern performance cars.

Good info. This may be worth an organised hoon to once Spring arrives. I'll pop over myself in a few days and check it out. I love looking at these sort of places. smile

BTW, what are you looking to replace your current car with?

Wouldn't mind an e-type , should have got one about 3 years ago before prices went orbital !

I suppose what we could do is have an organised run out to the place in say March when the elements are better and roofs can more easily be lowered !

was in there yesterday, the young chap was there with an older bloke (not his Dad)

the older bloke said he wanted to get established for 6-12 months before having any meets at the place - although as the young chap said they wouldn't rule the idea out

Hey this is good news! Great spot that old Merc dealership building. Thought it was prone to flooding though?

A run there and meet would be great. Need to get out and meet some of you guys again too, been a while...

It's definitely been under water before - last in 2007 along with the nearby pub and most of pytchley road ind estate. I remember having to leave work because the water was pouring in.
