NEC classic in Birmingham for sporting bears

Is there a thread or few others that want to meet up somwhere just outside of Birmingham? i will be coming up the m40. from banbury area

I will be leaving Friday 11 Nov in morning around 0800 and same for saturday 12 Nov.

I sent an email to them last night regarding joining and attending on Saturday, so hopefully will be there in my S4

i would think you would be welcome to join, there is about 120 cars so far for the weekend. I plan on leaving the Brackley/Banbury area around 0830.

well done, let me know if you don't get a reply, don't forget a spare 6" X 4" photo of your car - printed versions are very much appreciated

Kim will be very busy now, my wife only covers a very small part of the paper work and bits and bobs but I'll probably have to spread the Midget's boot load over a couple of days

To those that have done it before, what is the protocol regarding how you drive (obviously safely!), but how much do you push it/speed etc? Is there a suggested/recommended route to take?

there will be drivers briefings each morning before the SBDRs open to the public

there is a suggested route, you don't have to use it, some struggle to find it but that doesn't matter as long as you leave and return correctly you will miss the internal NEC queues (15 mph in the NEC Complex and they have their own Traffic Control)

as you should have read on the links - you do not speed, your license, your increased insurance premiums - the passengers should be thrilled not frightened, where appropriate acceleration and holding gears for more effect, you'll soon pick it up

well with 'Thank You' emails from the NEC SBDR Team received that's wrapped up the event for another year
