Hello Northamptonshire!

My first post in this forum, and I'm looking for some help from a local already smile

I have found a car that sounds good in either Spalding or Peterborough, Lincolnshire. As with all adverts and car dealers, they aren't always as good in the metal as on paper though. I'm in Glasgow, so it's a bit of a trek...

Is there anyone near to it who wouldn't mind dropping past the dealer for a quick nosey around it in exchange for beer tokens please?

http://motoring.friday-ad.co.uk/spalding/used-cars... It's been on ebay and I understand the winner failed to show up after he won it for £1100

Hi There and welcome!

Your link does not seem to be working.

Apologies also, I'm not going to be able to help either.

Good luck!

I think I may have found one, so a trip to Spalding may not be needed.

Sorry for the confusing posts...
I had another car in Leeds which another PHer went to see today on my behalf (the generosity of PHers never fails to amaze me biggrin ), and it was nice enough so I decided pretty much to buy it. http://www.mdmmotorgroup.co.uk/used-cars/peugeot-4... . That all changed with an HPi check on the car tonight came back as CAT D. No mention of that in the ad, or in 3 separate conversations with the dealer. I can't help but think what else might they be hiding?

So I'm onto the second one, which can be viewed in Peterborough or Spalding. (Ad links in above posts)

As with all adverts and sellers, they aren't always as good in the metal as on paper though. At least I know this one isn't stolen/ scrapped/ etc before going to see it. History looks solid, and the car is well specced. It looks as though there are some stone chips, flaking wheel paint, and some sort of paint mark(?) on the rear drivers quarter. I'm not worried about age related bodywork marks, but not too fussed on ugly/ costly accident damage that I would need to get repaired.

Is there anyone near to it in Lincolnshire who wouldn't mind dropping in to see the car for a quick nosey around it/ start up/ drive in exchange for beer tokens please?

If so, I'll call the trader tomorrow

Cheers (for the second time!) biggrin
