Hi guys I have recently purchased a TVR Chimaera, the car needs a new hand break cable does any one have any recommendations of a garage in northamptonshire where I could take it?

Take a look at the garage recommendations at the top of the Northants section.

I had a look but could not see any thing that local that was particularly recommended for TVRs.

Hi Zach,

You could try Steve Guegliemi:

11 Alvis Way,
Royal Oak Way Ind. Estate,
Daventry,
Northants,
NN11 8PG

Tel: 01327 878425

I'm not sure what Steve does or doesn't do, I know he services TVR's and we used him for a suspension set up. Very highly recommended.

Clair.

Zach how's it going with the Chim after the S2000?

Have you got the Steve Heath book IIRC not many mistakes but lots of useful info - not a Haynes type manual though

Hi NIgel

I am really enoying the chimaera, so far all has been good, I love the interest some people show towards the car oh and the sound as well! One of the things I never really took notice off is just how low the chimaera, which can make using it slightly more difficult around some of the roads that are full of speed humps!
I have a second edition of the Steve Heath bible, which is a fantastic book!
My dad normally does all my car maintenance for me, he did have a look at doing the hand break cable but felt he could not get the car as high as he would like. So am now looking for a suitable garage with a ramp to do it! I also would like to find some where to sleeve the exhaughst !

As already mentioned Gugliemi has a great reputation in the TVR world. Next up and a bit further away would be TVR Power in Coventry though I don't think you'd gain anything over Steves work from the extra distance.
