Went to the Food Show today at Holdenby House. Was very good. Lots of local producers, some great produce particularly if you like sausages, chicken, chutney, cheese or wine but plenty of other things there. Plus an amazing Bids of Prey display. Never seen something like that before, take the camera it's well recommended. It's on BH Monday too, not a massive show allow 3 hours or so but a nice day out.

Also went along but came out more disappointed.

Usual load of expensive chutney, spices and dips stalls and not that big or different. The grounds are lovely and it was nicely spread out with the bonus of the bird show but not worth £7.50 IMO

The gardens and falconry centre is £5 for an adult ticket normally, so I don't think an extra £2.50 on top for the food show including the cooking demos is that bad a deal. The site claims they had 70 exhibitors there but it didn't feel like it. The food we tried was very good quality though. And we've found a new place to get chicken from which tasted amazing so not a bad result IMO.

Next year they need more stalls and better weather. smile
