Don't think there will ever be that many e-types anywhere again ! Some great historic cars there , perhaps the best place to be if you like stunning classics !

I was at the Classic for all three days!!! Friday was good with the highlight being Group C qualifying in the wet.... Awesome sight that was.

Saturday was superb (apart from it taking me nearly 2 hours to get the 8 miles from my B & B to the car park!) with the E-Type cavalcade being excellent.

However there is some dispute i gather as to how many cars were on track altogether. I understand that the 'official ' figure was somewhere around 750 E-Types however i know of one person who tried to count the cars & he gave up at just under 1000 E-Types!!

Having said that i dont really care as the sight of so many E-Types together was just superb. Seeing so many of the 'same' car with so many differences between them was wonderful & i have to say that whilst i it was good to see so many almost new E-Types it was refreshing to see many slighty tatty & well used examples as well.

I spoke to one owner who said he used his car (a 5.3 V12 no less) everyday & the mileage was approaching 70k!!!

A magnificent parade & a credit to those who organised it.

Sunday was just as good although i thought that it was a little quieter than Saturday. All in all an excellent way to spend a weekend, even better because the tickets were free as i won a competion in Classic & Sportscar magazine so a big thank you to them.

I'll add my pics here tomorrow night, was amazing being part of the cavalcade! We were told there were 820 cars on track but over 1000 turned up for the day! Was great to see people like norman Dewis driving the car he drove to the launch!
