the question is what for?

Its :-

More practical for everyday use
Quicker
Has a much better driving position
About the same MPG

Nope. I've already owned a E46 M3 and I don't really want another Renault. Can't stomach the main dealers.

That's not a lot of help, as that covers MOST sporty hatches of the last few years!

It is something German but its not an AMG or a RS2/4.

Yep a 996 it is. I've gone for the base spec 3.6. Just waiting for the garage to address a couple of things before arranging collection.

It is for everyday. I'd love a GT3 for added excitment but my finances wouldn't stretch that far! I've still got the Exige for weekends.

So far I'm loving it. Such a well put together car. Especially so compare to the vee.

I've just ordered a replacement for the 996 which I should get in Jan. Need to sell the 996 privately if I can after Christmas.

Can you guess what the replacement is? Its still NA but has more grunt that the 996.
