Hi All

I know this is a long shot given the date, however I've just received tickets for Moto GP at Silverstone for my Birthday.

Trying to find either a Hotel, B&B, Static Caravan to Hire, Canal Boat etc for Friday 10th & Saturday 11th...at a push would book Sunday too if it works out ok cost-wise.

Anyone local who knows anywhere that may have vacancies would be greatly appreciated. Dont mind a bit of Taxi ride to the circuit but dont want to be too far away as have other friends going too. Even a train into Towcester but again not too far out.

Thanks in advance

Static caravan? Try the place at Billing Aquadrome - it's Northampton but not too far.

Loads of places in Daventry - cheap B&Bs.

Static....just trying to think of ideas. Will check Billing, thanks.

Whittlebury Hall want £495 for 2 nights. Have stayed there before for Silverstone Classic - its ok,but not worth £500.

It's not nice. Very bland. I bet you'd get something at Daventry barcelo for sensible money. It's equally bland but should be a lot cheaper.

Why not camp? as the circuit will have an official campsite very close by

You're about 40 years too late for a train to Towcester... wink

It's probably unlikely they have vacancies, but try Silverstone Guest House: http://www.silverstoneguesthouse.co.uk/

From speaking to people who have been phoning us to book rooms, everything in the immediate vicinity of the circuit is full.

We are 15 miles away and now have only one room left!

If you want to be close to the circuit then as has been suggested camping is probably the best bet.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Now sorted, opted for a place near Milton Keynes - just a bit of travelling each day which is fine.

Excellent. Now we just need dry weather.

Saw Rossi at the Silverstone Wing launch on Tuesday. Man's a star.
