Will have to sort out the 3rd meet soon then!
Sicily all next week but I can handle the 11th if anyone is up for it, triangulating Alessandria is a good choice from Turin, Milan, Modena and Genova if there's anyone out that wayEdited by Wallpag on Sunday 26th October 23:14
Can anyone help!!
Myself and a friend, who is starting work at Fiat with me, are looking for an apartment for an intial 6 months. We have been here since Monday, but can't find anything as yet. Either there is only one bedroom or it's just too expensive.
Has anyone got any ideas? It sem crazy to spend so much on agency charges just for 6 months.

Not sure this is what you're looking for, but we have 'spare house' next door to us (we bought the two together), and have done it up as a holiday let/B&B.Myself and a friend, who is starting work at Fiat with me, are looking for an apartment for an intial 6 months. I has only one bedroom, but is huge, there's a kitchen with cooker, fridge etc, lounge with TV, DVD and PC with internet - it's just like a home, in fact.
It is 72km from Torino, but I work in Torino also, and takes only an hour to get there by train, which costs me €93 per month (Train and bus pass for Torino)
The closer you get to Torino, the more expensive the property, both to by or rent.

Many thanks for the offer. Where do you catch the train from? How long does it take to get to work?
It is actually very tempting, but I think it's probably just too far from Torino for us.
Do you know of anything avaliable in the city, it is very difficult with my level of Italian!
No prob. The wife drives me to Felizzano station, a few km away, and from there, I get to Asti to catch the connecting Intercity train to Lingotto station in Torino; the Intercity is quicker, making the journey less than an hour all in. (You could drive to Asti and catch the train from there - but driving to Torino would cost almost €600 per month in fuel and road toll charges)It is actually very tempting, but I think it's probably just too far from Torino for us.

I don't know of anywhere in the city itself, my boss did say that it is very expensive (The cost of a small apartment would have cost us almost the same as the house/s we bought!), so I would imagine the rent costs follow suit.
If you do find something, make sure they give you the complete cost, as I know from experience that they love to add on charges you never imagined once it comes to pay!
