Help re Maranello Trip, Italian Lakes etc..
Discussion
Aplogies in advance for long post..thinking of visiting Maranello, Lambo, Pagani etc as part of summer hols & would appreciate some feedback from those who have been before or holiday in Italy especially re a favoured route, must do passes, weather & nice resorts.
Looking at 2 weeks in either late June or early September, can I expect decent weather? Will some passes be closed in September?
Want to include the Italian lakes but not sure which, ideally looking for a resort within walking distance of a pretty town with decent restaurants & bars, not too quiet, something similar to St Maxime, Villefrance Sur Mer in France.
Are Modena & Verona worth a visit?. Any feedback on the beach resort of Forte Dei Marmi? May well stop at different lake on the way back.
Cross posting this in the Ferrari forum too
Thanks for your help

You could do a lot worse than contacting Nick at Detaglio (V8V12 on here) as it's a bit of a speciality of his company.
If you also check out the Eurohoon threads, you'll get a really good idea of where they've been and what's rated (which seems to be all of the hoons!).
Hope this helps.

Ok June or September weather will be perfect: not too hot or cold.Looking at 2 weeks in either late June or early September, can I expect decent weather? Will some passes be closed in September?

One of the many "must do" passes is the Mont Cenis.
Lakes: Garda will be good that time of year: no Germans and lots of choice as regards bars, restaurants and hotels.
Failing that Lago D'Iseo is a bit quieter but has stunning scenery along the lakeside roads and loads of tunnels!
Verona is worth a visit especially the colosseum.
Forte Dei Marmi used to be "the" place to go on the Liguria but sadly it's now mostly pedestrianised and filled with Russians. Try Santa Margherita or Rapallo further north or if you're feeling flush, Portofino.
