Car Ferry from Sardinia to Spain
Discussion
Hi - does anyone have any experience of taking the car ferry from Porto Torres in Sardinia to Barcelona?
The ferry departs at 6:30am, so I presume the sensible thing to do is drive to Porto Torres the night before, stay in a reasonably priced hotel and then get up at 4:30am to catch the ferry. Being a day crossing the cabins are quite cheap, so it would be easy to grab another couple of hours sleep either mid morning or immediately post lunch.
However, I have heard stories that the ferry is frequently late.
