Hi guys - maybe someone is able to help. I have found a car in italy which looks perfect. It is a private sale - the guy has a funny story to tell which gives me a sort of "run Forrest, run!" feeling...
I was therefore wondering if anyone italian on here is able to help me with the following questions:

is there a way in italy to find out if:

-money is owed on a car and if it has been written off before
- who the legitimate owner of the car is
- if the IVA and any other relevant taxes have been paid on the car

Also, I'd need to know what italian documents I'll need with the car to permanently become tge owner.

The car I am after is a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. I have the VIN anf current reg.

Many thanks guys,
Felix

HI Felix
I know a nice guy in Milan running an agency managing change of cars property, car import/export and so on.
You might contact him for any request.
Is this post allowed to make a sort of indirect advertising?
Claudio

Very Good.
This is the name: Nini Torre - Agenzia Bellaria - +39.335.5229133. He speaks english.
In my past I've been dealing in pre war cars for many years and Nini worked out some complicated situations concerning importing and registering vehicles.
By the way, are you interested in a 996 GT3 1st series?

All the best.
Claudio

Just a quick answer awaiting for news:
yes Nini runs Pratiche Auto and of course you can tell him my name, in fact he's already alerted.
no, I don't know if he has an email bur sent him a sms to request, as soon as I have an answer I'll inform you.
concerning the GT3 I can send you any detail to your personal email, if you want, then you think about that.
(that would be a very kind of you).
do you really want to buy a scaglietti?
Ciao.

Ciao Claudio!
Yes send me a pm so I can forward my email. Happy to ask around, maybe we get lucky.
I have kids and was after a weekend toy - they are good value and it sort of fitted the bill...
As you seem sceptical, what is your opinion?

Thx again for the contact to Nini

Hi Felix,

here we are: infobellaria@tiscali.it
Scaglietti: for sure you buy a good car but don't make a good investment as my very personal opinion is that what you buy is going to have real depreciation with time, that's it, but it's also your choice.
If you are aware of that it's fine.
In my past I got some of those cars, but the sporty and old ones and always gained profit when reselling them so the idea of suffering depreciation when selling a Ferrari sunds strange to me.
However if I had to buy a proper Ferrari to enjoy with kids and family I'd have no idea....
(I always had a family car and something very naughty to be hooligan).
Let me know, am getting curious.

Regards.
Claudio

Hi Claudio,
yes depreciation on the 4 seater Ferraris has historically been an issue (look at the 456) - however I am buying a 2006 car with 18.000 km for just over 60k€. In Germany a similar car would set you back 70 to 80k€ easily.

So I was gathering that I'll be ok - as long as the car's history and mileage are genuine...

Sent you a PM just now!
regards
Felix
