Shipping car from Italy to UK

Hi, I am considering having my car sent back from Milan, where it is at the moment, to London.

Anyone used such a service in the past that they would reccommend? Any idea of cost?

Would it not be quicker/cheaper/more fun to drive it back over two days and catch a flight back? I may be wrong but I can't see shipping being any cheaper

You're right on the shipping not being cheaper! I've had two quotes each at £950+VAT...

I was cosidering shipping it mainly as I don't have much time and therefore the roadtrip would be somewhat trivial Swiss & French motorway all the way. As I need the car back in Italy in September I also wanted to avoid adding too many 'boring' miles on it.

In the end looks like I will be keeping it in Italy a bit longer, may hopefully go for some mountain passes in Switzerland soon!
