Invader 2 YAX 978J Where are you now
Discussion
Spent many years grovelling under this much loved beast until expanding family forced sale. It was, until comparatively recently, within the owners club but now seems to have disappeared. I would welcome news of this car and would also like to buy it back if possible - has to be better than anti ageing cream!!
Further to your son's (1 of 4 not 2 as alleged elsewhere) comment above:
To set the record straight, I think it was Dick Curzons who spent many hours underneath the Gilbern doing his best to keep it on the road for me.
Secondly, I seem to remember the Gilbern was changed for a more pretentious BMW GT - nothing to do with size of family.
Nice to think the truth catches up occasionally.

Keith, There is a K.V.Morgans, Plymouth Devon in the Club records but no associated car!
The car it self is on record as being with it's 4th owner, a member in Hampshire and the first owner listed was in 1999.
When did you own the car?
Was it from new?

I bought this Gilbern off the member in Hampshire min the mid 90s, sadly an engine fire on the M1 and the resulting poor repairs meant I lost confidence in it. I sold it to my father as a project for him to restore (well put right the repairs that had been bodged) in his retirement and currently she languishes in his garden.
