Some Gilbern GT pictures
Discussion
I went out to Croft Circuit yesterday, where the Darlington and District Motor Club had an early-season testing day.
Stuart and Sally. (whatnonegatives.co.uk) were kind enough to take a few pictures for me.
This car has FIA Competition papers with it, as one of the previous owners (Oddly enough, he lived on Teesside, and had his car prepared by Ron Harper, amonst others} was intending to do the Peking Rally in it. According to some of the documents with it, the 'long-range fuel tank' should be good for 345 miles, but I haven't dared to trust it that far yet.
It also has, what in my experience, at any rate, is the most excruciatingly uncomfortable driving seat I have ever encountered. Fortunately, the original Gilbern seat is there as well, disassembled amongst the piles of spares.
