Very rare 1974 Puma 1600 GTE, based on a shortened Karmann Ghia chassis and Beetle tech bits: 700 kgs and 90 brake makes it a flyer. I fitted but only just!

Wolbert Porsche workshop visit

The owner of this silver gem has a yellow one with work. It's going to be flaming orange and up to spec. He's carefully trying to make a business.

Very pretty but can't help thinking there's a lot of Nissan 240z about it.

Beautiful car - one of these appeared albiet very briefly in an old Italian cult crime film I bought on DVD recently called 'Il Cinoco L'infame Il Violento', made in 1976. The rear end was modified slightly though, as it had small round Ferrari style tail lamps instead of those in the pics.

Sorry to hijack the thread Nij but you didn’t see my message on the XJ coupe thread. The trimmer measured the seats and they are 56cm wide at their widest point. Would that fit for what you wanted? Mail me to avoid derailing this thread.

Sorry OP as you were thumbup

More from that glorious Puma:

How good does this look? The sun even makes it more Brazilian.

Nose sits a bit high but for speed bumps this is ideal.

Interior gives proper 70s sports car feel. The drive is Beetle but way more refined than any buggy you ever drove.

Yup, it's 356 size so my 1.85 m just fits. A Miura is more cramped though...

About 90 brake from this peppy 1.6 litres Beetle engine. Some drop a Scooby in... Errrr, not with this set-up!

It deserves a decent power train for a start.

This Puma ran like a Swiss clock.
