So the car I posted isn't exactly a "Mistral" .. cars seem to go by chassis names not bodies. It lives as an EJS Climax.
Bucklers report them as Microplas bodies DD2's -The V8 Daimler car looks more than interesting
There is also a French Jag Microplas.
Conscious of copyright etc but the following is some of the research ..

Hi
I now have the body moulds at home ... not had a chance to get them across to the team to find out how much to mould a whole body .. this will happen later this year.
Mine looks like this - outer only - no headlights ...
The shell -like most - was designed for a Ford chassis 7' 6" wheelbase - 90".
There are lots of other non Ford Chassis used - Buckler is one with lots of info on the web. We're looking at using a TVR Vixen S2 long wheelbase chassis as both the chassis and inner fibreglass tub are available as are the front and rear suspension.
Drivetrain for mine will be Ford Pre Crossflow I think as again bits are easy come across and I can't afford a Coventry Climax unless the lottery comes up trumps.
PM me if you want more detail etc ..

Have you seen the latest project by Tribute Automotive? Maybe you guys should talk!

Chassis was sourced from a well known purveyor of race cars and parts - not been on Ebay. Origin unknown but had wierd rear suspension and probably never ran as a finished car - perhaps a Sports Libre project ?
Sorry all of this is a private venture - Chris @ Tribute can sell you a fibreglass shell for any chassis you want - I struck lucky as this chassis is the right width and the shell just needs stretching by a couple of inches - easily done.
I need to build up the suspension to make a rolling chassis and then take it back to Chris for the final shell fit.
The Clubmans next to it in the photo is a higher priority ..
