Yes we all know about it. This tax idea is SOOOOOOOOOO old and was talked about so much in the past years. I personally believe that it will never happen. Its too complicated, too many rules, has and will cost too much of our normal Tax money to create the infrastructure. Worst of all,it will not reduce the traffic jams.

Since when has that been a real objective?

Reduction of traffic jams is most likely caused by a reduction of traffic, which in turn would cause a reduction of tax income. Certainly in the UK this would be tantamount to turkeys voting for Christmas and given the turkeys we have in power at the moment...

Exactly. This is also part of the discussion. The turkeys also thought of rules to compensate this.

Can't see how it can be avoided.

This was planned as part of the funding for the EU Galileo satellite system that's up there now.

If it doesn't go ahead, where is the funding going to ccome from...?
