hello all,

Just thought i would share my experience this morning.

I was on the tram (No 17 from Den Haag) this morning, and as the driver pulled away he cut up a cyclist. The cyclist gave the tram driver the finger as he tried to squeeze past the tram (Not a very wise decision getting into an argument with a tram if you ask me). The tram driver slammed the brakes on and confronted the cyclist. The next thing i know the cyclist is on the ground after being punched in the face by the tram driver!! yikes

I have never seen anything like it! I bet the tram driver isn't in work tomorrow...

Hmm, I thought stuff like that to be usually more the resort of Amsterdam tram (and bus, and taxi) drivers...

With staff like that, no wonder the Den Haag communal transport organisation is hiring a boatload of (friendly, polite) German drivers...

Polish wink . . . never had a problem with the driver of the tram. The passengers: now that's another matter. Especially in The Hague.

Only for 10 weeks. I am here for training with my new job (I was working offshore before now) and then back to Aberdeen to run a new branch of our office. We usually work in house for Shell but an oportunity arose to branch out and work away from Shell's buildings so i jumped at the chance!

I have visited Delft a few times since i have been here and its such a lovely place. Its excatly as i imagined Holland to be with the small Canals and the market on a Saturday. I was also lucky enough to catch the town's band and SinterKlauss (Spelling?) procession through the town.

The Civic is off the road at the moment as its in need of some TLC. It is the Vtec though with the 1.6 Twin Cam engine and its a little screamer biggrin I do hanker for something more powerful and RWD - RX7? wink

Do you drive or just use the public transport? What do you do for a living?

I use the Civic as my wife doesn't! I used to have a leasecar and now I'm looking for a nice family 850 and an Alfetta GTV 2.5.
