I recently met a few people from the Netherlands who knew nothing about EU plans to use the Galileo satellite system to charge us for using all the roads in Europe and limit vehicles to the speed limit via a control unit in every vehicle.

Was it just the people I met, or are you all unaware of this tax and control system?

Ok, fellas...

It's a firm EU intention to use the Galileo satellite system, now under construction, to charge you to use all roads within the European Union. Your car will carry a smart device that records where and when you drive (and your speed), then remove money from your bank account to pay the tolls.

It's not just a UK project, and there are further plans to use the satellites to control a box in your car that limits you to the speed limit. It's estimated that a control unit will cost £600 in the UK, for every car.

I'll find some links and post them up later.

I suggest you start spreading the word. We've already had a petition against this in the UK, attracting 1.8 million signatures.

Galileo is the EU version of the USA's GPS ... it is a great fat white elephant and the project is in crisis

Yes, but the intention is clear...

And Europe seems to be unaware of what's going on. Ive also met Germans who know nothing about it.
