Hey marki...that means when they stop you you loose your license for a while and a big fine...they caught me last year doing on that moment 255km/h that ment license gone for 3 months and because I was driving alone at 3 am and knew what I do, the weather 13 graden perfect straight dry road..It was "only"3 months and 1200,-euro..otherwise double that!...not nice though... I was alone in the night on a highway and they laserguned me...out the corner on a bridge...never saw them.

Ow and they kept my car for more then a month(because when you drive at more then double the legal speed they take your car for a while and I was doing 255k'/h on a 120km/h road) and telling the public on radio and tv that there where only 2 of such cars in NL and now only one...sadist but I've got it back "ofcorse" but it was not a nice period without a car and license I put myself 3 months at home...felt like a prisoner in a free?? world...

It depends on whether he was actually stopped (if not, maybe he has a fast grandmother with a drivers license that could help him out ).
If he was stopped, he'll be summoned to court.
Whether or not he's in trouble depends on his speeding record so far.
I got caught doing 180ish in a 100-zone a couple of years ago, but with a clean record got away pretty good (300 euro fine and a four month ban, but only provisional (probably not the correct English term and I should really know what the correct term is, but it's Saturday night so it'll have to do ).
Things that'll help you in court:
- I really need my driver's license for my job. Without my license there's a fair chance that I'll get fired.
- Keep denying. Most people tend to hope for leniancy by admitting their guilt and apologising. That's not the way the Dutch courts work.
- Ask for the possibility to pay a fine in terms. Most judges hear comments about the high fines tens of times a day, so they won't respond to it. A request for payment in terms sounds more positive and will often result in a lower fine. Lying about your income is always a good idea (as a suspect you're not under oath in court), wear some shabby clothes and act shocked when you hear the prosecution's demands.
Good luck!

guy working for me got €500 for 105 in a 50 just the other day (yeah, i know) fixed penalty through post (i was offered the same first, it was my car. no ban though (non-dutch licence) this was off a camera
about 2 years ago i got €550 (i think) for 120+ in a 70 zone (yeah, i know about this too, it was a DC at night, traffic lights coming up, i was slowing down ) this was a bunch of cops at the side of the road, pulled me in, took licence off me there and then, had to get someone to come and pick me + car up, got the licence back straight away tho, had to collect it in Roermond (uk licence). had to go to court for this, went suited up, i was the only one there dressed in any way smartly, even the judges assistant bloke was wearing jeans n trainers under his robe. all in dutch, i had to reply in english, what with not speaking dutch, just understand a bit (it's mostly the same as german innit - that'll wind up the dutchies!)
edit: no ban for me either, had a letter written in dutch pleading my case but the judge said he "wasn't interested in taking my licence"
