I bought myself a S4 and then realised that practically every road in the country is straight, flat and littered with speed traps.

The Uitdammerdijk road from Amsterdam to Marken is the best I've found but that's a narrow single tracker with a dijk wall blinding every right-hander and the lake on the left hand side urges caution at every turn!

Are there any challenging drives to be had without crossing the border?

Contact Albert Mensinga (Dinkel) on here, he organises the Dutch Spring Run and has created some very interesting routes over the years.

Cheers for that Klaas.

Check my PH-profile to find DSR: if you like to turn your wheel wink

Any tips on interesting routes in the meantime?

Yes. In the Eiffell or Ardennes. wink

Seriously, serious driving roads you will not find in the Netherlands. If you're lucky you get 3 nice corners in a row without Speed bumps/Cameras/huge amounts of traffic.

Oi, not true. There's nuff to do on the 'C'-roads. Check my DSR topics to find out. And - as David says - hook up on the DSR15.

Where? Born and raised in Twente, lived in Amsterdam a long time as well. I've been everywhere. Brabant, Limburg, Groningen etc. I was happy to find 3 corners I could drive *quickly* without crashing into a bicyclist/camera/intersection with cow-dung.

The difference with Belgium & Germany is night and day. All IMHO. smile

You have to look hard but there are a few. I personally uploaded a few to the Porsche GTS Routes smartphone app, a few more to be found there.

Sounds like you're making me look hard, Alfa Male! Care to share the details or do I need an app for that?
