cost of used cars in NL
Discussion
I've been saving up recently and I'm thinking of buying a Dutch LHD car.
However, the sheer cost of cars here is giving me a real headache. From what I can see used motors here cost about 50-100% more than they do in the uk.
I had thought about 6000 euro would get me something decent, but apparently not.
Does anyone have any tips for car hunting here? Are there any makes/models that are unloved here and can be had for less (that aren't dreadful)?

Hi there,
When you are planning to purchase a car in the Netherlands and export it, you are likely to get a refund on the BPM (some sort of tax). Depending on the type of car, age and emission this can differ between a few hundred to a few thousand euros.
If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know.
Regards,
Thomas
