Some basic advice please...

Hello
we are looking to buy a Mini convertible but we are struggling with car seats....
We have 3 year old twins and today we tried our current car seats (Britax Eclipse Si) and the girls just didn't have any leg room at all. Does anyone have advice on car seats that offer a bit more leg room? We have another car for long journeys so it will just be a run around - just need seats that they will be comfortable in....
Any advice would be very gratefully received...what seats are you all using for toddlers please?
Many thanks
NB - my last post was when I owned a TVR before they were born...

Hi There
we had a cooper s convertible with little ones. Car seats were intially a Britax isofix jobby and then just standard Graco things, nothing special. They all work fine. I had to compromise my leg room in the front for driving, but not to badly (I'm 6'1"). It was fine for short runs and general running around. Also we managed to get a buggy in with one kid in the back. Fold one back seat down then you could slide a lightweight buggy through the boot.
Enjoy, the little ones loved the MINI with the roof down.
