Cooper S 07 bonnet scoop

Anyone else had one fall off?

M1 yesterday at motorway speed, surprised me a lot

Rather than an actual "Scoop" which it doesn't have...

All cooper S's, even the new shape ones that don't need a bonnet scoop have a bonnet scoop.

I have never heard of one falling off though.

The "Scoop" that appears on all Diesel and Cooper Bonnets?...

It's a psuedo scoop. It doesn't "scoop" anything... it's purely aesthetic... So it's not a scoop.

To say the whole scoop came off implies that you lost your entire bonnet.

If you lost the trim... Do you use automatic car washes alot? That might have loosened it.

There is no scoop on a Diesel or a Cooper.

The scoops are only on the Cooper S's.

Its where the open hole is on the bonnet, and on R53 models is directed to the intercooler.
Where as on the R56 model Cooper S, it is just a hole.

There is no bonnet scoop on the Diesel Cooper or Cooper as there is no hole in the bonnet that requires a scoop

Yeah I had it on my R53 and a friend on his R56. I knew i had one of the 4 clips broken, never found out why it happened on my friends R56...
