Is it normal for teh Cooper S (2004 supercharged) to sound tappety under load? It kind of makes the car sound older than it should..... Is this a sign of impending doom.
No it definitely sounds like a tappet sound. I guess my question is do they all sound like this. Obvioulsy the supercharger whine and exhaust do drown it out but its still there
It is always hard to say, what is a bad tappety noise to one person etc. But no I sprinted one for some time and the main noise was the super charger. I would get it checked out by some one in the know.
